Bimmah

BIMMAH

From Muscat, without any problem, following the road signs for the Hawiyyat Najm National Park (the name means shooting star), we reach this karst formation with a salt water pool. It is a small closed basin, made up of limestone rocks, the center of which has collapsed, forming a crater. According to legend, the crater was formed by the fall of a meteorite. We change our clothes in the car, but next to the entrance (free) there are clean bathrooms. We arrive at around 12.30 on a weekday, we are almost alone. There isn’t much else to see, we take a swim, dry off a bit and leave, lining the car seats with plastic bags to avoid getting them wet.
